Where did Jennifer Garner’s signature long, brown locks go? The Peppermint star’s trademark tresses were nowhere to be seen in a photo she shared with fans on Wednesday!
Jennifer, 48, was wishing her childhood friend, Mariah, a happy birthday with a sweet Instagram post and a selection of throwback photos, and one, in particular, stood out.
It turns out Jennifer hasn’t always had such a soft hairstyle and once sported a short do with a blunt fringe – which strongly resembled a seventies bowl cut.

In the snapshot Jennifer is wearing a red jumper, shorts, and knee-high socks, and smiling for the camera.
The mum-of-three also shared a teenage shot with Mariah and a cute black-and-white picture too.
It looks like Jennifer wasn’t such a fan of her short hairdo as it didn’t appear to stick around too long.

Jennifer shared photos through the years
Jennifer wrote a two-lined poem for her friend which read: “You’ve always been cooler than me. I wish you were older than me.”
The Hollywood star is incredibly close to her family and friends, but has been forced to spend time apart from them due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
That’s not to say she hasn’t been using her time productively.

Since lockdown eased she was also able to travel and recently took a trip from her home in Los Angeles to Northern California where the wildfires are raging.
Jennifer normally has long hair
Jennifer went there on behalf of the charity Save the Children to see how the organisation is helping those in need.
While lockdown has been hard for Jennifer, she appreciates how lucky she is to have her family healthy and around her, and says her children have been “great” during the challenging time.
