AJ Pritchard: Curtis Pritchard’s Strictly pro brother hints HE could enter Love Island

The Strictly Come Dancing professional, 24, has been tuning in since Love Island 2019 kicked off on Monday in order to watch his younger brother Curtis Pritchard, 23, take part in the ITV2 reality show. Now, AJ Pritchard has refused to shut down speculation he could sign up for the dating series himself. During a conversation about Love Island, the British-born dancer said hinted he was “open” to the idea of doing reality TV himself. Asked if he would be tempted to join any reality shows, he replied cheekily: “Never say never, I’m open to all options.”

AJ went on to say he wouldn’t do I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! because it clashes with Strictly.

“I couldn’t, I love Strictly so much,” he said. “But I love presenting, it’s one of my passions.

“I can’t wait to do more. There’s some great stuff coming up.”

The Strictly favourite, who is taking part in a segment on Lorraine tomorrow in order to commemorate the D-Day anniversary, said he was “excited” to watch Curtis during his time on Love Island.

“Honestly, my brother has always supported me through everything and I can’t wait to support him 100 per cent,” he gushed.

“He’s deprived me of my summer though but I just can’t wait,” he quipped.

“I think the best way to explain my brother is that he’s infectious and everybody falls in love with him.

“As soon as you watch the first episode, if he’s anything like the brother I see off camera, it’s going to be an entertaining show,” he added. “I can’t wait to see it on camera.”

Last night’s Love Island saw Curtis and his fellow newcomer Tommy Fury, 20, have to choose which girls to couple up with in the villa, consequently splitting up two already established pairs.

Curtis, who is also a Ballroom and Latin dancer, picked flight attendant Amy Hart, 27, leaving Anton Danyluk, 24, single.

Boxer Tommy, who is the younger brother of heavyweight legend Tyson Fury, 30, opted to come between Joe Garratt, 22, and Lucie Donlan, 21, by coupling up with the blonde surfer.

Tonight, Love Island fans will see tensions mount as the recouping looms, while the new couples get to know each other on a double date.

Meanwhile, AJ also spoke about his role in tomorrow’s instalment of Lorraine, saying: “I’ve even talking to different veterans and hearing all the emotion and their stories.

“There are often stories about the war that they haven’t told anyone,” he continued.

“A 24-year-old talking to a 97-year-old about a historical moment that has impacted all our lives is really special.”

Watch AJ on Lorraine tomorrow from 8.30am. Lorraine weekdays on ITV weekdays from 8.30 – 9.25am

Love Island continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2.
