Bindi Irwin, the daughter of the late “Crocodile Hunter” Steve Irwin, is opening up about how her fiancé Chandler Powell proposed.
After announcing that she and Powell, 22, got engaged on her 21st birthday, Irwin shared just how he popped the question.
“The most beautiful surprise. Chandler and [my brother] Robert worked together to capture the moment I said ‘YES’. We were in the gardens of Australia Zoo and it was beyond perfect,” she captioned photos of Powell down on one knee.
“I never even knew Robert was there photographing and I’ll always be grateful to have these special memories of the most amazing day of my life. ❤️”
Chandler proposed with “an estimated 2-carat oval diamond set in a delicate diamond-adorned rose gold band,” Kathryn Money, Brilliant Earth’s vice president of strategy and merchandising, told Page Six Style this week.
Money estimated Irwin’s ring to have cost between $25,000 and $50,000, but a second diamond expert believed the sparkler could be worth more.
“Bindi’s ring appears to be around 3 carats and can be worth up to an estimated $85,000,” said James Schultz, founder and chief customer officer of JamesAllen.com.
