Charley Webb has revealed how she nearly lost her son Buster's place at high school after forgetting to confirm he wanted to attend.

The 33 year old is mum to sons Buster, 10, Bowie, five, and one year old Ace, but has admitted how she has now nearly lost two of her children their places at school.

Emmerdale star Charley took to Instagram on Saturday to explain her hilarious blunder as she shared the story of how she was left confused by a phone call from Buster's prospective secondary school.

Enjoying her daily walk, Matthew Wolfenden's wife filmed herself telling the anecdote to her 501,000 social media followers.

She said: "So, mother of the year continues on the school front. I got a phone call on Thursday saying, 'Oh, hi, we haven't heard about Buster and his school place and if he wants it, the deadline was today.' I was like, 'What deadline? What are you even talking about?'

"So, basically, when we got the letter, I read the first sentence which said he'd got in, I got so over excited that I didn't then go back and read the letter.

"Because I was so overwhelmed and happy that we didn't have to appeal, I just failed to store the information in my brain.

"So, he nearly lost his place in the school and the schools around where we live are so, so difficult to get into so I don't know what I would have done."

Charley then went onto admit it's the second time she's nearly been the reason for her son's missing out on places in their dream schools.

She continued: "So Bowie, I never applied for primary school, and Buster, I nearly lost him his high school place. I don't really know what's wrong with me.

"I don't know how to keep information in my brain," she added for taking a deep sigh and finishing: "Just terrible parenting."

Charley's confession comes weeks after she opened up about taking a trip to the doctors after feeling a pain in her breast.

She once again took to Instagram to tell fans in a video: "I went to the doctors last week because I've been having this pain in my boob which I know is really personal but I wanted to talk about it because I put it off for ages.

"I put it off and put it off because I was so worried about going into them with anything at the moment, with everything that's going on.

"I just hope no one is feeling like that and if there's something that you're worried about then you should go and get it checked because there are other issues going on in the world, not just the pandemic.

"There is other stuff and that's okay. I'm really glad I did it. The hospital is dead," she explained.
