Charmed Is Losing a Lead Actress After 3 Seasons Read Their Statement!

One Charmed star is leaving the show after three seasons!

It was just announced on Monday morning (July 19) that the power of three is no more on the CW reboot.

Sarah Jeffery, Madeleine Mantock and Melonie Diaz have been portraying the Charmed ones since the show came back in 2018, but one of them is moving on.

Madeleine Mantock, who has portrayed Macy Vaughn, will not be returning for the show’s upcoming fourth season.

“Playing Macy on Charmed for the last three seasons has been an immense privilege and I have so enjoyed working with our fantastic producers, creatives, cast and crew,” she exclusively told TV Line. “I’m incredibly grateful to The CW and CBS Studios for my time on the show and for being a brilliant support in my difficult decision to leave. Huge thanks to our fans who can look forward to, what I know will be, a spectacular fourth season.”

“We can’t thank Madeleine enough for her incredible and inspiring work on Charmed,” added showrunners Liz Kruger and Craig Shapiro. “We will miss her as much as the fans will, but we also respect her decision to move on. This is a difficult time in the world, and everyone has to follow their heart. We wish her well, and the door is always open for a return visit from Macy…one way or another!”

Back in February, it was announced that among 11 other CW shows, Charmed was renewed for another season. It is currently unknown how Madeleine‘s exit will be written into the show.

On the original Charmed, Shannen Doherty, who played the eldest Charmed one Prue, also left the show after three seasons. Her character was killed off, and a long lost sister, played by Rose McGowan came in to the mix.

In this week’s season three finale, we just might be finding out how Macy will exit.

Here’s the synopsis: When an encounter with the Whispering Evil leaves Macy (Mantock) on the brink of death, Mel (Diaz) and Maggie (Jeffery) cast an ancient spell sending The Charmed Ones off on a series of epic adventures. Meanwhile, realizing only a Whitelighter can save Macy, Harry (Rupert Evans) asks Jordan (Jordan Donica) and Celeste (Kate Burton) to help him do the unthinkable.

Tune in THIS Friday (July 23) at 8pm ET/PT on The CW!
