This Morning presenter Eamonn Holmes, 60, laughed as he recalled Ruth Langsford’s reaction to his regular deliveries to their shared home from Northern Ireland. He said he has “special shipments” of imported crisps which he hides from his wife in the garage.
Eamonn discussed the hidden items in a chat with Vicky Pattison as the pair spoke about their desired crisps.
“I like Wotsits,” he revealed as The Secret To podcast host said her preferred crisps are prawn cocktail flavoured.
The host went on to spill: “I actually have my crisps imported from Northern Ireland.”
Stunned by his admission, Vicky replied: “Do you do Taytos? That’s when you know you’ve made it! When you get foreign crisps.”
“I get special shipments,” he clarified.
On his wife’s reaction to his parcels being delivered, he joked in an angry voice: “Ruth goes, ‘What is this in the post?! What is this!?’
“And I go, ‘I don’t know’ it’s something for the dog I have no idea, I’ll chuck it in the garage.
“There’s a stash in the garage she doesn’t even know about.”

“But, when she heard him chew, she fantasied about his death.”

The couple, who marred in 2010, are currently on a break from This Morning as Alison Hammond and Dermot O’Leary take over their Friday presenting duties.
The host took to Twitter to reassure fans they will be back on the show, as many believed they had quit.
In view of his one million followers, he wrote: “It’s a changing of the guard on Fridays from January.
“We hope you make Alison and Dermot as welcome as you’ve made us over the years. Have a Ball you two!
“It’s not Goodbye from us, it’s simply Au Revoir until the next half term.”
