Gino DAcampo surprises blindfolded daughter Mia, 8, with puppy in adorable video

Gino D'Acampo has surprised his daughter with a puppy in an adorable new video.

The celebrity chef, 45, shared the video of his daughter Mia, eight, being presented with a Dachshund puppy as a “late Christmas present” as she takes off her blindfold and finds herself shocked at what she sees.

Before the big reveal, Gino asked his daughter: “Do you remember that I said to you I had a late Christmas present?”' to which Mia responded: “Yeah.”

He then quipped: “Sorry about the blindfold, but this is the only one I could find in your mum's bedroom”, before adding: “Tell me when you're ready.”

His daughter confirmed that she was, took off the blindfold and found herself immediately overcome with emotion as she set eyes on her new pet.

Overcome with emotion, Mia shouted: “No you didn't! No you didn't! Oh my god,” while clasping her face.

Mia began stroking the puppy as Gino asked: “What do you think? His name is Snoop.”

“You like him?” added Gino, to which Mia responded: “I love him”.

Gino shares three children with wife Jessica Stellina Morrison, but their eldest sons Luciano, 19, and Rocci, 15, didn’t make an appearance in the video.

It comes after the chef shared a rare video to his Instagram to “set the record straight” to his 1.4 million followers on recent reports his restaurant chain has gone “into liquidation”.

It was reported previously that the popular chef’s chain My Pasta Bar had fallen into liquidation after owing £5 million.

However, Gino took to his Instagram to share a rare video of himself in his kitchen with fans addressing the claims.

He said: “When I got back I saw a lot of c**p about my restaurant.

“Apparently, my restaurant had been into liquidation.”

He went on: “Now, I don’t usually do stuff like this, but I thought, let me set the record straight here.

“About 10 years ago, I opened a business called Pasta Bar, which is serving Italian food very fast in the centre of London, three little shops.

“And we tried for 10 years, and then Covid came around and I thought, do you know what? We had to close.

“There was no point to pursue with the idea, which, by the way, I absolutely love and I will continue with that with another business.”

The I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! star made it clear to fans that the Pasta Bar was “a stand alone business”.

He continued: “So the Pasta Bar business has got nothing to do with my restaurant business, with my import business, or any other business that I do, it’s a stand alone business going into liquidation.

“We have to move on, this is what business is all about – sometimes you win, sometimes you lose.

“Now, let’s talk about the restaurant business, which is growing really, really well, so much so that this year alone, I’m going to be opening three mega sites and one I’m going to be opening in Italy!"
