Janette Manrara has taken to Instagram to share her and Aljaz Skorjanec’s first ever picture together. The Strictly Come Dancing professional was feeling nostalgic as her husband left their marital home to start work on his next show.

The 37-year-old said their house was feeling “empty” without him, 31.

The dancer was soon inundated was comments as many were left touched by her remarks about her spouse of nearly four years.

Aljaz is gearing up for his Here Come The Boys tour alongside Pasha Kovalev, Graziano di Prima and Robin Windsor.

Kicking off later this month, it will also feature Strictly finalist Karim Zeroual and pro Nadiya Bychkova.

Janette was seen cosying up to Aljaz in the dark photo, seemingly taken at a party or backstage.

Resting their heads on one another, the pair beamed at the camera, with the Miami-born TV star teaming a pink look with dark eye make-up.

Her now-husband wore a black shirt, unbuttoned very low, as well as a silver chain.

She captioned her upload: “This was the first picture @aljazskorjanec and I ever took together! 2010!

“We we’re just friends then. Little did I know…”

Janette went on to explain why she was sharing the picture now, seemingly feeling sad without her other half with her on the Bank Holiday.

She continued: “He’s starts rehearsals today for @herestheboys so our home feels a little bit empty.

“Cannot WAIT to watch him & the whole cast on stage!”

Janette signed off: “But for today, reminiscing these beautiful memories is making me smile… #MrMrsSkorjanec #HereComeTheBoys.”

Her BBC co-star and pal, Oti Mabuse, was one of the first to reply, adding three heart emojis.

While DJ Dev Griffin and hitmaker Pixie Lott – both Strictly alumni – shared the same.

Actress Caroline Quentin, who took part in the competition last year, told her: “That’s adorable.”

Fellow pro in Strictly, Nancy Xu, also said: “Aaaaaa,” with more heart-shaped graphics.

Aljaz of course also liked the post, and was joined by the likes of Amy Dowden, Giovanni Pernice, Gorka Marquez, Motsi Mabuse and AJ Pritchard.

It comes after the couple were kept apart during the latest Strictly season, due to social distancing during the Covid pandemic.

“Aljaz was kind enough to let me move out. Because I thought, ‘If I stay home and just see pictures of us all over the house it would be really hard to stay,'” she previously said on ITV’s Lorraine.
