Kate Ferdinand enjoyed a family day out to the safari park and was left in stitches as mischievous monkeys jumped onto her car, four months after giving birth to son Cree.

The mum-of-one, 29, made the most of the bank holiday and took a trip to Woburn Safari Park in Bedfordshire with her husband Rio Ferdinand and their four-month-old son Cree, along with Rio’s kids Lorenz, 14, Tate, 12 and Tia, nine.

They witnessed numerous wild animals including monkeys, deer as well as more African animals such as rhinos, elephants and tigers during the outing, where they explored the park from the comfort of their car.

In the first clip, Kate filmed the hilarious interaction with the monkeys while her husband Rio Ferdinand drove their car through the safari pen as furry friends hopped up onto the bonnet.

The cheeky monkeys came up to the window to say hi to their passengers as Kate giggled behind the camera while the family all screamed in shock.

The former TOWIE babe wrote atop the video: “Such a fun afternoon” accompanied with a monkey emoji as the family debated between themselves as to who was filming the surreal interaction.

Kate's anxious former footballer hubby Rio could be seen nervously clinging to the steering wheel as the he bravely drove through the animal park whilst wild animals can be seen roaming in the background without a care for the vehicles around them.

Rio could also be heard screeching in the background as his doting wife zoomed in on the deer which can be seen running in front of them as she giggled at his reaction to them.

The new mum, who recently enjoyed time away from mum duties with cocktails during a girly lunch, shared the unusual experience with her 1.4 million followers on Instagram stories.

Kate’s well-deserved outing comes after she spoke out about her feelings towards her changed body after she gave birth to her first child, Cree, admitting she felt “abnormal” and “panicked.”

Speaking to The Sun, stunning Kate said: "There are so many things about motherhood that no one tells you. I'd had the baby and I was in this whirlwind of emotion.

"My body was not the body I recognised. I felt really overwhelmed. I was feeling really abnormal and I started panicking. 'Am I meant to be feeling like this?'

"I was so happy but very emotional. And I was looking through social media and thinking, 'Is this normal? Because no one ever says this'.

The new mum has now shared that she’s feeling more positive about motherhood after a rocky start finding her feet with a newborn.

A source recently said of the reality TV star: “She’s feeling more positive, it’s a lot to do with the great response she got from being so open about how she was feeling on social media.

“She got a really great reaction. She’s taken all the love and support she’s had from people and realised she’s not on her own.”
