Kelly Price, 48, has spoken out after being reported as a missing person amid her COVID-19 battle. The gospel singer sparked concern after she had been listed as a missing person by Cobb County police officials following a welfare check conducted at her home.

Now, Kelly has reassured fans she is not missing and had not been in danger either.

She told TMZ: “I was never missing. I was in my home, I was being seen by doctors. Everyone in my family knew exactly where I was.

“I have never been in danger, I am not in danger right now.”

However, Kelly did have to be hospitalised in August as her condition worsened.

In a harrowing account of her ordeal, Kelly explained that she “died” before waking up in intensive care.

She said: “At some point, they lost me. I woke up some days later and the first thing I remember was the team of doctors standing around me and asking if I knew what year it was.

“I died. I remember waking up in ICU.”

The Friend Of Mine singer is continuing to receive treatment and also receives several visits from home help aids.

She continued: “I am facing a very uphill battle right now.

“I have a lot of rehabbing to do before I am able to be what I like to call concert ready again.

“I suffered a lot of internal damage.”

Kelly shared the news of her Covid diagnosis in an Instagram video posted on July 29.

“Feeling really drained. Splitting headache but I’m not in the hospital.

“I’m grateful and expecting to have a quick recovery.”

Kelly also took to her Instagram earlier today to thank fans for their continued support during her recovery process.

She wrote: “Thank you for your love, concern and prayers.

“I truly appreciate them and all of you who sincerely did them. They are not lost on me. I promise.

“I’m going back into solace and silence where I can put first things first and that is to be restored to be healthy and to be whole.”
