Veteran actress Lynda Carter, 69, wrote a touching tribute to her late husband of 37 years Robert A. Altman, on what would have been his 74th birthday. Lynda broke her silence when she announced his death a week after he passed away on 3 February in Baltimore, after “complications from a medical procedure”, according to the Washington Post.

The pair were married in 1984 and share two children together, Jessica, 27, and James, 33.
But Tuesday was a tough day, as the family celebrated his birthday for the first time without him.
The 1984 Wonder Woman star took to her Instagram account to pen a heartfelt letter to Altman, who was a lawyer and video game executive, telling her beloved she “feels his presence in my heart.”
She began: “Today brings back all the wonderful memories of our life together.

“I didn’t think it was possible to miss you more than I already do, but I feel your presence in my heart.”
“Thinking of you on your birthday, my love.”
Alongside the tear-jerking caption was a photo of the couple, with Carter gazing lovingly at him as they stood standing in front of a beautifully decorated staircase.
This was the first post she had shared since Altman’s passing, after the actress took to the social media site to announce his death on 11 February.
She used a black and white photo from their early days of dating alongside an emotional letter, including a written piece directly for Altman that left fans in tears.
“One week ago, my beloved husband Robert A. Altman passed away. Robert is the love of my life and he always will be,” Carter’s statement began.
Describing their 37 years of marriage as “an extraordinary gift”, she continued to write: “We shared the passion I hope everyone is lucky enough to experience in their lifetime.
“We protected each other and were each other’s champions always.”

The superhero star went on to mention their children, who are the “lights of my life” and the “greatest joy” of Altman’s.
“I see so much of Robert in them, and I know he lives on through them,” she continued.
Carter then thanked their fans: “Jessica, James, and I want to say thank you.
“We especially love hearing about the times you met Robert at concerts or through his work in the gaming world.
“He loved meeting you and hearing your stories.”
The statement then turned attention directly to her husband, describing him as the “most honourable person that I have ever had the privilege to know”.
“I got to be your wife and the mother of your children. Thank you for giving me all the love in my life,” she penned tearfully.
“Nothing could prepare our family for this moment, but we will do our best to follow our dreams and honour the legacy you’ve left behind. I will love you always and forever.”
Speaking out about his dad’s death, James also said: “He was fiercely loyal to his friends, and had a way of connecting with people instantly.
“Inspiring them, getting the best out of them, and often teaching them with his seemingly endless wisdom.”
