Mike Bushell spoke of BBC Breakfast and of course Strictly Come Dancing 2019 during an interview on The Michael Ball Show for BBC Radio 2 today. Speaking just hours after the grand finale, the broadcaster confirmed when he would be returning to the morning news show.

However, fans of the 54-year-old still have a little while to wait, despite him being kicked out of the BBC competition back on November 11.
The sports presenter was teamed up with professional Katya Jones, who he will be reuniting with very soon.
Mike still has a few more months to enjoy his “unpaid leave” and is expected back on Breakfast in February.
The delay is due to his participation in the Strictly Come Dancing: Live! tour, which kicks off in mid-January.

The newlywed will once again perform with Katya, 30, across a staggering 19 dates, which will start in Birmingham.
After that the group will visit Aberdeen, Leeds, Manchester, Dublin, Belfast, Glasgow, Nottingham before ending at London’s O2 Arena.
Addressing his absence, host Michael, 57, enquired: “Lets step away for Strictly for a minute, because you’re still doing the BBC sport…”
“No, actually I’m on unpaid leave,” Mike corrected, leaving the shocked presenter replying: “Are you?!”
He continued: “Yes, I’ve been on unpaid leave from Breakfast since September and because of the tour, I’m actually having my first Christmas off in 20-30 years.
“I then go back to the normal job on Breakfast after the tour.”
Michael then asked: “Are you still as involved with sport as ever? Following it?”
“On indeed, absolutely,” Mike said. “[I’ve played] about 550 sports, which is… sort of trying them out.

“Some of them have been bizarre, from worm-charming to shin-kicking to bog snorkelling – some of them are off-the-wall. The key criteria is, someone, somewhere is doing it because it is their passion.”
He added: “It gets them fitter, even if it’s something bizarre, keeps them mentally sharp while having fun with their mates.”
Mike will be joined on the tour by fellow competitors Alex Scott, Catherine Tyldesley, Emma Barton, Karim Zeroual, Saffron Barker and of course winner Kelvin Fletcher.
The latter triumphed to lift the Glitterball in the grand finale with pro Oti Mabuse last night, after wowing the judges and viewers alike.

However, he will not be dancing with the Greatest Dancer judge on the tour, but instead he will team up with Janette Manrara.
The other professionals involved are AJ Pritchard, Graziano Di Prima, Neil Jones, Johannes Radebe, Amy Dowden and Katya.
Meanwhile, it comes just days after Mike revealed how he’d undergone a non-surgical lower facelift, after losing more than a stone in weight on the show.
