The rumour mill went into overdrive when Nadine Coyle was spotted holding hands in the back of a car with the father of her daughter, Jason Bell. And according to new magazine, the couple are back in a relationship.

It is reported that it was a combination of the pandemic and ex-Girls Aloud bandmate Sarah Harding’s breast cancer diagnosis that made Nadine take stock of what’s important to her.

“Nadine was always closest with Sarah in the band and her illness has made her realise life is so short,” the insider claimed.

“The Covid lockdown and what’s happening with Sarah has made her reevaluate her own life.

Nadine and Jason are parents to six-year-old daughter Anaíya, and split up in 2019 after an on/off 11-year romance.

But the former NFL American football star has been regularly staying at Nadine’s London home while he competes on Strictly Come Dancing.

“Nadine and Jason are giving their relationship another go,” the insider revealed.

“He’s always wanted her back and she totally adores him. They’ve been trying to work things out ever since he started staying with her while training for Strictly. Nadine really loves him being around.”

Nadine, who has previously been engaged to Jason twice, is said to have recognised what she really wants has been in front of her all along. “When she’s apart from Jason, she misses him terribly.”

“Nadine realised that she had really missed having that family unit,” the source explained.

“She felt really down the last time they were separated. It’s made Nadine think what’s important in life and that is family. She was really struggling when she was apart from Jason before.”

It’s clear that there were no hard feelings between the pair when they called time on their romance last year.

“I adore Jason, he’s great and he’s Anaíya’s daddy, he’s brilliant – obviously,” Nadine gushed shortly after their split.

“Jason and I spent a long time together, but we are very, very close.”

And last month, when quizzed about the possibility of getting back together with Nadine, 35, Californian Jason, 42, replied: “A lot of people want a lot of things, so you never know!”

He added: “I love who she is as a person – always have and always will. The thing about Nadine is that if you watch her and see how she cares about her daughter and the people she loves, it’s infectious.”

And when asked if he was interested in dating anyone else, Jason made it clear he only has time for his family.

“No [not interested in anyone else], not for me,” he said.

“I’ve got two women in my life who take up all my time, and one of them is six years old.”

Speaking before the TV competition began, Jason even confessed that the former Girls Aloud star had been giving him tips on performing.

“She has been giving me lots of advice about how to prepare myself to learn routines,” he said.

“She has been doing it her whole life, so she has really good golden nuggets on what to do.”

New's source says Nadine has been Jason’s rock throughout the competition so far.

“She’s very supportive of him – she was almost in tears when he did very well,” the insider continued.

While things are currently on the right track, it's claimed that Jason, who divides his time between the US and the UK, already has a plan to keep his family together after his stint on the BBC show is over.

“Jason’s hoping he’ll impress the public on Strictly so that he gets more work here in the UK, so that he can be here full-time,” the source concluded.

“You never know with Strictly – it can go one way or the other, but he’s hoping he can become the star of the show and then everything can work out.”
