All the Details on Kate Bock's Vintage Engagement Ring from Kevin Love: 'I Couldn't Love It More'

Kate Bock is basking in her engagement bliss.

After announcing her engagement to NBA star Kevin Love on Instagram on Sunday, the model, 33 — who recently landed the highly coveted Sports Illustrated Swimsuit cover and is represented by The Society Management — opened up to PEOPLE about the special moment, which she says left her "completely surprised."

Sharing that the romantic proposal took place on Saturday evening at a private dining space outdoors at their close friend's restaurant, Lilia, in Brooklyn, Bock says that Love, 32, picked out her "gorgeous" engagement ring all on his own.

"I wasn't involved in the ring design at all. Kevin did it all himself," she tells PEOPLE. "It's gorgeous. I couldn't love it more! It's a vintage diamond cut from the 1930's for Cartier and it's set in a very chic vintage Cartier setting."

Noting that her now-fiancé "worked with a brilliant jeweler out of London and put together my perfect ring," Bock adds of the jewelry piece, "I was in total shock when I saw it. I just jumped up from my seat."

On Sunday, Bock announced the couple's exciting news on Instagram with a series of black-and-white photos from Love's proposal.

"Well, this was the best birthday surprise I could have ever imagined," Bock wrote. "I couldn't be happier to have been asked to be a Love. Heart bursting all day & night."
