DEAR DEIDRE: EVER since being made redundant at the end of October, I have been in rent arrears. I am so worried I will end up homeless.
I am 31 and worked in a nursery. It closed down so I lost my job and because I hadn’t been there for two years, I received no redundancy pay.

Now I have a new job in another nursery but I am waiting for my security clearance to come through.
The housing association has written to say it is going to court to evict me.
I am really struggling to focus on getting motivated for my new job and am so worried about the future.
DEIDRE SAYS: Finding another job after you were made redundant is a real achievement when you have other worries.
Talk to Turn2Us, turn2us.org.uk who can advise on money worries. I am attaching my support pack on Debt Worries too.
You will feel more positive once you are receiving wages again, so try to stay well focused on your job.
