The Hampton Classic horse show — that has drawn such spectators as Billy Joel, Sting, Bruce Springsteen, Jerry Seinfeld and Brooke Shields — will return this summer.
“We fully expect to be holding this year’s Hampton Classic at our showgrounds in Bridgehampton, August 29 to September 5,” a spokesperson tells us. “We have been developing several plans for dealing with whatever COVID requirements may be in place at the time.”
The competition was canceled last year, causing a crisis when trainers and stable owners struggled to feed and keep the horses without income from the show.
After Page Six reported on the struggle — which could’ve led to some horses being sold off and ending up in a meat market — support poured in to save the day.
