A woman has shared her disgust after discovering a man at the gym had been secretly recording her while she was working out.
TikTok user @marziii10, who is thought to be from the U.S., was filming herself lifting weights in front of the mirror when she accidentally captured a stranger doing some recording of his own.
‘I am disgusted,’ she wrote on the video’s on-screen text. ‘I was recording myself and it looks like I wasn’t the only one.’

She revealed in the caption that she had no idea he was recording her until after she left the gym, writing: ‘I didn’t notice until I watched the video in my car…’
The shocking TikTok has been viewed more than 3.1 million times and has received thousands of comments.
‘Aaaaad this is why I go to an all girls gym,’ one person wrote, while another advised: ‘Def expose him to a manager at the very least.’
‘Show a manager,’ someone else agreed. ‘They can revoke his membership.’
There were also a number of men who tried defending the guy, which led to some outrage in the comments section.
‘Any guy in here defending him, you can get in the creep boat with him. No reason to defend this unless you do this yourself boys,’ one TikToker wrote.
‘This comment section shows it’s most guys cause a lot of you are showing you don’t understand consent,’ someone else added.
In a follow-up video, the woman gave a detailed account of what happened, explaining that she had set her camera up against a machine and was recording herself to see her progress and form.
When the man walked by, she assumed her phone was in his way and turned around to move it. She even gave him a quick apology for having it propped against the machine.

‘But little did I know he was recording me,’ she said. ‘It wasn’t until I was done working out and I came into my car and I re-watched my video and saw that he was in fact recording me. I felt so disgusted. My stomach literally dropped.’
She added: ‘He’s lucky I was running late for work or otherwise I would have ran in there and been like, “What the hell.”‘
The TikToker said she had reached out to the assistant operations manager at the gym, and they are going to review the footage from that time to see if they can identify the guy.
In her most recent video, she opened up about the surprising response she has received from people — particularly men — who defended the stranger recording her without her consent.
‘I think my video is reaching the wrong side of TikTok,’ she said. ‘Like what is wrong with men? Well, most men. But like I’m baffled. Baffled. I post my story, and I’m still receiving [comments from] people defending this man.
‘If you don’t see a problem, you are the problem.’
