JOHN STONES had his blushes spared by a linesman's flag after the Manchester City defender looked to have scored an own-goal against fierce rivals United.
With just two minutes on the clock the ball was played in to United striker Marcus Rashford.

He fired at goal only to see rookie keeper Zack Steffen make a superb block.
But the ball flew back at Stones and rebounded off the centre half and into the goal.
But the linesman deemed Rashford to be offside and the goal was ruled out.
VAR made their regulatory check to confirm the decision was a correct one.
The two rivals are clashing the semi-finals of the Carabao Cup at Old Trafford tonight.
The winner will face Tottenham in the final after they beat Championship side Brentford 2-0 on Tuesday night.
Ilkay Gundogan and Phil Foden went on to also have goals ruled out for offside in the first half.
The two teams were tied at 0-0 at the break – but both had many chances to go ahead.
Kevin De Bruyne rattled the crossbar, while for United Bruno Fernandes saw a long-range effort expertly tipped wide by Steffen.
