New Knicks shooting guard Reggie Bullock underwent cervical disc herniation surgery Wednesday one day after he officially signed his new two-year contract, the team announced.
The team said it will provide an update on his rehab and progress around the start of training camp. A source told The Post he is not expected to be ready for the start of the regular season. Bullock, 27, has had knee and back issues and plantar fasciitis in his past.
The Knicks ripped up his original agreement of a two-year, $21 million deal after his physical was red flagged. He signed a new deal that was one year with a team option for a little less than the $4.8 million room exception, according to a source.
The team is well-stocked at shooting guard with incumbent starter Damyean Dotson, who is rehabbing from shoulder surgery, Allonzo Trier and new No. 3 pick RJ Barrett. Frank Ntilikina also can play the 2.
