Nate Diaz trolls Conor McGregor over UFC 257 loss and reveals he is 'training to whoop Dustin Poirier's ass'

NATE DIAZ has brutally trolled Conor McGregor following his loss to Dustin Poirier, who he's set his sights on fighting.

McGregor, 32, suffered a devastating second-round TKO loss to the former interim lightweight champion last weekend in the main event of UFC 257.

And Diaz couldn't help but mock his former foe's first stoppage loss.

Alongside a face-palm emoji, Diaz tweeted: "These guys all get finished all the time."

The fan favourite then announced to the world he's still hellbent on fighting Poirier, who he was meant to throw down with over two years ago.

Alongside a picture of their face-off at the UFC's 25th-anniversary press conference, Diaz wrote: "I’m training to whoop ur ass next.

"Be about it don’t talk about it."

Diaz and Poirier were meant to face one another at UFC 230 in November, although the eagerly-anticipated fight fell through as the latter was forced to withdraw from the contest due to injury.

Diaz, 35, has fired several shots Poirier's way since the cancellation of their Madison Square Garden showdown.

And Poirier, who recently declared himself the uncrowned lightweight champion, is eager to shut his mouth once and for all.

In the UFC 257 post-fight press conference, he said: “A rematch with Conor interests me.

“I always wanted to whip Nate Diaz’s ass, that interests me. In fighting, that’s about it. I’m sure something will make sense.

"Me and Conor are 1-1. Nate Diaz got away and likes to talk a lot of s*** online, but I just gotta go back home and we’ll see.”

Fan favourite Diaz hasn't fought since suffering a third-round TKO loss to Jorge Masvidal at UFC 244 in November 2019.

But UFC president Dana White recently revealed the promotion are working on a fight for the youngest Diaz brother.

He told The MacLife: "We're working on a Nate Diaz fight right now.

"And it is not Tony [Ferguson], but if we get it done, I think you're gonna like it."
