UFC 264: Ex-NFL star Greg Hardy knocked out by Tai Tuivasa, who drinks BEER from shoe on Conor McGregor's undercard

GREG HARDY was knocked out for the second time in a row as Tai Tuivasa beat the ex-NFL star in the first round.

The heavyweights featured on the undercard of Conor McGregor's trilogy fight with Dustin Poirier.

It lasted just a minute but provided plenty of action as Hardy initially wobbled Tuivasa with some heavy shots.

But the Aussie puncher closed the show with a left hook counter before a brief ground and pound saw the referee wave off the fight.

Hardy, who made his UFC debut in 2018, was left defenceless on the deck forcing it to be stopped.

Showman Tuivasa celebrated in classic style by downing beer from a shoe – which has now become his trademark.

It leaves Hardy beaten for the fourth time and stopped in consecutive fights, having lost to Marcin Tybura in December.

Just days beforehand the former defensive end called out boxers Tyson Fury, Anthony Joshua and Bronze Bomber Deontay Wilder.

Hardy said: “After I get done shutting this down, handling my MMA business, I want to venture into the boxing realm.

“I’m trying to holler at Dana. Hopefully we can get some fights in the Zuffa Boxing world.

"Top Rank, Al Haymon – somebody come holler at this dude because I definitely want to go over there and knock out ‘The Gypsy King,’ make light work of that English cat, I don’t even remember his name, Joshua, or whatever it is, ‘Cry-baby Bomber.’

"We’ll knock all those guys out, man. Of course you know I’m going to work for it.

"It’s an aspiration I think will come true real fast, and I can’t wait for it.”
