AN AMPUTEE has stunned thousands of spectators at a ballpark in Chicago by catching a baseball in her prosthetic LEG.

Shannon Frendreis, 27, whipped off her right leg and the flying baseball landed perfectly inside it… despite having drunk FIVE beers.


The remarkable incident happened during Chicago White Sox's home Major League Baseball (MLB) game with Detroit Tigers.

Frendreis, who kept the ball, wrote on TikTok: "Five beers in and taking my leg off to catch a ball seemed like a great idea."

The video has since been viewed more than 2.7MILLION times, receiving 414k likes and 11.1k shares.

Frendreis is prolific on TikTok and has picked up more than 13.2k followers on the social media platform.

And fans were loving her latest video, with one replying: "Took an arm and a leg to catch that ball."

While another wrote: "Instead of hold my beer, it's hold my leg! Legend."

And one follower responded: "I've heard of getting the upper hand but never getting the upper leg."

Frendreis also received a touching comment from ice hockey team Dallas Stars, who told the TikTok user she was a 'star in the making'.

Frendreis was delighted, responding: "I am beyond flattered Dallas, hockey is my number one! This was sick."

Chicago White Sox are guaranteed to finish top of the American League Central after picking up 93 wins and reaching the postseason play-offs.

The season culminates in the World Series – the biggest prize in baseball – with the White Sox winning the last of their three titles in 2005.
