The match you’ve been waiting for all week is finally here. The USWNT is one game away from being crowned World Cup champion.
It all goes down Sunday morning, when the United States will face the Netherlands in the World Cup final. The USWNT defeated England 2-1 on Tuesday, thanks to goals from Alex Morgan and Christen Press, as well as stellar play in goal from Alyssa Naeher, to earn its third consecutive finals appearance. The team looks to win its second consecutive World Cup title and fourth overall.
Netherlands comes into the match after a 1-0 overtime victory against Sweden on Wednesday. On their way to their first finals appearance, the Dutch also defeated Japan and Italy in elimination rounds. Prior to the 2009 European championship, the Dutch had never even qualified for a major tournament and are only playing in their second World Cup.

PREDICTIONS:Who are the experts picking?
The United States and the Netherlands have played each other just eight times, with their last matchup in 2016. The U.S. has taken all but one of those games — the first in 1991.
USWNT star Megan Rapinoe, who has scored five goals in this World Cup, didn’t play Tuesday because of a hamstring sprain, but she is expected to play Sunday. Rose Lavelle said she’ll be ready to play as well.
The United States comes in with an advantage in scoring, tallying 24 goals in tournament play thus far, while the Netherlands has 11. Both teams have allowed just three goals.
