Bravo producer Andy Cohen and his trainer Stanislav Kravchenko both had coronavirus (COVID-19), with Kravchenko being diagnosed shortly after Cohen announced he had the virus. Now, Kravchenko is revealing how he and the Watch What Happens Live host got back in shape after battling the virus.

Kravchenko and Cohen had the virus during the initial weeks of the pandemic. New York City was the biggest COVID hotspot in the country at the time Cohen shared his diagnosis with fans on Instagram. “After a few days of self-quarantine, and not feeling great, I have tested positive for Coronavirus,” he revealed on March 20.
“As much as I felt like I could push through whatever I was feeling to do #WWHL from home, we’re putting a pin in that for now so I can focus on getting better,” Cohen added in his post. “I want to thank all the medical professionals who are working tirelessly for all of us, and urge everybody to stay home and take care of themselves.”
Meanwhile, Kravchenko, who trains Cohen on a regular basis, was also sick. “So Andy had COVID, right?” Kravchenko told Showbiz Cheat Sheet. “I got it like maybe a few days after him.”
“I’m not saying I got it from him though,” he laughed.
How did Stanislav Kravchenko and Andy Cohen return to their workouts?
Kravchenko said dealing with the after-effects of COVID was no joke. “COVID affected me, to be honest with you,” he said. “It was a little challenging when I was working out. I felt it in my body for sure in the beginning. Like in my cardiovascular, like, ‘Oh my God, I’m out of breath.’”
He and Cohen both followed strict public health guidance when they were diagnosed. “So he got COVID, I got COVID, and I stayed home obviously,” Kravchenko said. “He did as well. And then we tried Zoom [workouts] after, but it took him a while. Like a month probably and we did a Zoom session. He did Zoom but when he was not with me, but he was like ‘What should I do, I’m bored.’ I’m like maybe do [online fitness platform] NEOU. He did NEOU, he loves it, it’s fun.”
“But we’re back in the gym now, love it,” he said. “One on one. But meanwhile, while he’s not with me, he’s doing some virtual workouts.” Kravchenko said anyone recovering from COVID should go slowly when it comes to working out.
“Take it easy in the beginning,” he said. “Don’t go crazy right away, don’t push yourself to the limit in the beginning, but just go slowly with your workout, 15, 20 minutes. But take care of yourself. Get a lot of sleep, a lot of liquids. Vitamins are important, Vitamin D, Vitamin C … minerals. And maybe some yoga breathing exercises.”
