Below Deck Mediterranean aired for five seasons on Bravo and fans have been catching up on E4 in the UK. Season five saw the crew aboard The Wellington look after some esteemed guests, and there was plenty of drama. Express.co.uk has all you need to know about who is in the cast of season five.
Who is in the cast?
Sandy Yawn – Captain
Fans have grown used to seeing Sandy Yawn as Captain and she has featured in most seasons so far.
The 56-year-old from Fort Lauderdale has more than 30 years of experience and she is a highly-esteemed leader.
From a young age her work revolved around being out at sea and she knows her crew like the back of her hand.
Hinrigo “Kiko” Lorran — Chef
Kiko Lorran was a chef for the first 10 episodes of season five, but he was let go by Captain Sandy.
After the pressure got to him during a Vegas-inspired dinner, he admitted to making some poor decisions.
Following his dismissal, he thanked the show as well as his fans for the amazing opportunity.
He said on Instagram: “I just wanna say thank you so much for all the support and I love what you guys are sending to me.
“I can really feel this amazing energy! Also I hope I could represent my country, all the Latinos and hard workers around the globe, life is not always easy for us. So when we have an opportunity we take [it] no matter what.”
Tom Checketts — Chef
Following Kiko’s dismissal, Tom Checketts took over as chef for the remainder of the season.
Tom is from the UK and he always knew he wanted to work in a culinary background, as both his parents are chefs.
He has worked in Gordon Ramsay’s restaurant in London as part of a long list of the UK’s finest restaurants.
On Instagram, he describes himself as a “traveller, sailor, adventurer and foodie”.
Hannah Ferrier — Chief Stewardess
Fans are also familiar with Hannah Ferrier who reprises her role as Chief Stewardess in season five.
She only featured in the series until episode 12, following a falling-out with Captain Sandy.
She was let go following a discovery of valium on board, but the pair now seem to be on good terms.
Lara Flumiani — Second Stewardess
Lara Flumiani only stars in the first three episodes of season five as a new crew member.
The Italian stew has travelled across the world, working her way up the ranks for more than a decade.
She is known for being hot-headed and is not afraid to hold back during a confrontation.
Christine “Bugsy” Drake — 2nd Stewardess
Bugsy started off as second stewardess before working her way up to Chief Stewardess by the end of the series.
She was also new to the crew in season five and she has travelled across the Caribbean, Mediterranean, and the Atlantic.
Bugsy was known for her bubbly personality and she was the life of the party.
Aesha Scott — 2nd Stewardess
Aesha Scott reprises her role as Second Stewardess from season four when she worked on the Sirocco.
She was attracted to a life of adventure and although yachting was not her first choice, she has never looked back.
Jessica More — 3rd Stewardess
Jessica was another new member of the crew for the final season and she spent years surfing as a child.
She developed a love for the ocean and sold all of her belongings to work her first charter aboard a yacht.
She is known for being able to handle the drama when others crack.
Malia White — Bosun
Malia White has been a member of the crew before in season two, working as a deckhand aboard the Sirocco.
In season five she takes on a different role as bosun and enjoyed her new responsibilities.
Fans may be interested to hear she is also a certified divemaster who has taught scuba lessons.

Peter Hunziker — Lead Deckhand
Peter Hunziker was the Lead Deckhand for the first six episodes of the season, before moving to a deckhand role.
He left the series following a controversial social media post, which he apologized for.
Alex Radcliffe — Deckhand
Alex was promoted to Lead Deckhand in season five, taking over the role from Peter.
He entered the world of yachting through a friend who worked in the industry and fell in love with the lifestyle.
He quickly worked his way up the ranks and had plenty of fun in the process.
Robert Westergaard — Deckhand
Robert was another new crew member to join in season five and he has more than a decade of experience.
He discovered a love for the sea as a way of healing following the death of his mother.
He became a dependable and trustworthy member of the charter team.
Below Deck Mediterranean season five originally aired on Bravo in June 2020 and it is yet to air in the UK.
All five seasons are available to watch through NOWTV if fans are able to watch the series online.
According to realitytea.com, season five was the highest-rated season in the history of the franchise.
There has been no news yet on whether another season will air in the near future.
