Britain's Got Talent host Declan Donnelly calls backstage crew member a 'knobhead' in cheeky off-air gag during filming

DEC Donnelly called a Britain's Got Talent crew member a "knobhead" in a cheeky off-air gag as he filmed for the live semi-finals last night.

The presenter gave a glimpse into his backstage behaviour for the crowd at Hammersmith Apollo.

His co-host Ant McPartlin kicked off the hilarious exchange ahead of recording a teaser trailer for the results show.

Ant mocked the employee when the stage doors failed to close and he was exposed behind the scenes.

He teased: "We can see you."

After a giggle from the crowd, the door started to shut again – but was once more stopped in its tracks.

With the man backstage still visible, Ant joked: "We can STILL see you."

As Ant turned his back and returned to prepare for filming with Dec, the crew member milked his moment of fame and waved to the crowd.

When the theatre fell silent, Dec simply shouted: "Knobhead."

Laughs echoed around the theatre before the pair filmed the advert that was aired in the Coronation Street break.

Britain's Got Talent returns tonight for its third semi-final.

So far, Dave & Finn and Flakefleet Primary School, as well as Siobhan Phillips and 4MG have made it through to Sunday night's final.

Dave & Finn are clear favourites to be champions of the 2019 series.

Brave pup Finn was stabbed while trying to save his handler copper Dave Wardell.

The first of the live shows kicked off on Monday with controversy as Amanda Holden dropped the F-bomb during a terrifying performance from The Haunting.

But fans spotted a blunder during the spooky act as Elizabeth was seen hiding behind a wall before rejoining Amanda.

Despite the drama, The Haunting failed to get voted through by the public. She is being tipped as one of the wildcards this series.
