Changing Rooms fans were left fuming on Wednesday night when they tuned in for their weekly instalment of the revamped 90s classic makeover show.

Interior designer Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen returned for the latest design project as to help spruce up Kerry and Sophie’s drab and dreary bedroom into a colourful superhero inspired paradise.

And the master himself certainly brought his A game as he introduced a range of new concepts into the room including and artistic ceiling complete with an MDF archway, a mural of himself framed with a unique gold frame and heavily patterned wallpaper.

But Channel 4 viewers couldn’t help but scream at their TV’s when the 56-year-old installed purple vertical window blinds into the couple's bedroom in the place of a wardrobe door.

And fans couldn’t help but take to Twitter to share their outrage on the unusual door choice online.

One viewer wrote: “This purple room with the ceiling, the Arch, the mural, wood frames … I was despairing … Now purple vertical blinds for the wardrobe? This whole room is FOUL. How is he a famous designer?”

Another agreed: “HES USING BLINDS AS A WARDROBE DOORRRRRRRRR” with three crying emojis.

As a third chimed in with: “The blinds have tipped me over the edge also! Shocking.”
