EastEnders reveals return date and storyline for Kim Fox

EastEnders has confirmed that Kim Fox will finally be returning to Albert Square later this month – so set those calendar alerts!

The beloved character, played by Tameka Empson, initially left Walford for Scotland in July when her sister Denise (Diane Parish) fired her from Fox & Hair, prompting her to move away in search of a new business venture.

Kim also decided it was time to start a new leaf after struggling to accept that Chantelle (Jessica Plummer) and Gray (Toby-Alexander Smith) had moved into the house she owned with Vincent (Richard Blackwood).

New EastEnders spoilers have revealed Kim will make her dramatic comeback on Monday 16 November when she surprises the Square with her arrival.

And the surprises are far from over as she quickly discovers what she’s missed in Albert Square.

Tameka’s return to the soap was announced earlier this year, by soap expert Sharon Marshall.

Speaking on This Morning, she said: ‘The great news is that Tameka is going to be back filming soon.

‘I don’t think she’s been on the set since last year, and I’ve really missed the sisterly relationship between Denise and Kim.’

More recently, Tameka revealed to Stacey Dooley on Secrets Of The Square that she pitched the idea of playing Kim to EastEnders boss Dominic Treadwell-Collins.

She explained that she met Dominic after performing in panto and he asked her whether she’d be interested in joining the soap.

Tameka responded: ‘Maybe I could be Denise’s sister? I offered that idea, just as a joke!

‘Five months later, my agent called me, and said you got the job. I went “Yeah! I’m aunty Kim!” and he said it’s for two weeks and I’m like “huh”?’

“Two weeks and two episodes? Really?” and I thought, “Oh, okay” because you put your foot in the door!’

EastEnders one to watch: Monday 16 November at 8.05pm on BBC One.

EastEnders: Secrets From The Square Monday 20 July at 8pm on BBC One.
