Emmerdale confirms Amy's new love interest

Amy Wyatt (Natalie Ann Jamieson) hasn’t had much time to think about relationships in Emmerdale, as her priority since returning to the village has been Kyle. However, romance might finally be on the cards for her, as she sets her sights on one of the villagers.

Emmerdale viewers were left shocked earlier this year when Kerry Wyatt (Laura Norton) joined Jessie Grant (Sandra Marvin) and Marlon Dingle (Mark Charnock) on their brief honeymoon trip to Belfast. Her motivations in doing so were to track down daughter Amy, who had been staying in Northern Ireland — and she succeeded in doing so. What’s more, she even persuaded Amy to return to Emmerdale so that she could be a proper mum to Kyle.

Upon her return to the village, Amy was hellbent on proving herself a worthy mother and her efforts have paid off, as the Dingle clan have backed down, allowing her plenty of time with her young son.

With all going well for Amy, she’s determined to have a bit of fun, as she sets sights set on romance — and newcomer Nate (Jurell Carter) is the lucky fella!

Amy agrees to go on a date with Nate, but Kerry and Tracy Metcalfe (Amy Walsh) aren’t best pleased when they learn of their blossoming relationship!

As a result, the two women interrupt the pair’s date so that they can give Nate a piece of their mind — berating the young lad over the fact that he’s only recently slept with Tracy.

How will Amy react to this shocking revelation?

Will romance blossom between the two, or will this news be enough to kill the mood?
