Every Saucy Detail We Know About 'Minx' Season 2

Did Minx leave you wanting more? That’s kind of the whole point, am I right ladies? The HBO Max series is full of sexual liberation, debates about feminism, office romance, and more ’70s dirtbag fashion than you could dream up. It’s like they knew we’d all be doing shag haircuts and served up the inspo on a platter with some incredible comedy as a main course.

The show, if you have somehow stumbled here and don’t know WTF I’m talking about, is a fictional historical workplace comedy about a feminist journalist who finds that the best way to get her radical articles published is by starting the first erotic magazine for women. This causes her to expand her feminist worldview and make a lot of mistakes on her road to success. Now go watch it, come back here, and I’ll tell you what we know about Minx season 2.

First things first, is Minx getting a Season 2?

Insert eggplant emoji here: Minx is coming back to HBO Max for season 2, according to Deadline. Woo! “All of us at Minx have been blown away by the passionate response from audiences across the world, who have mashed-up, TikTok-ed and fanfic-ed us into a renewal,” showrunner Ellen Rappaport told Deadline. “Here’s to more chest hair, pussy bow blouses and tasteful nudes in season 2.”

Who in the Minx cast is returning for season 2?

It’s safe to say that Ophelia Lovibond and Jake Johnson in all his hairy-chested glory will return for the second season of Minx. We must hope that Idara Victor, Jessica Lowe, Lennon Parham, Michael Angarano and Oscar Montoya will return as well.

One cast member who may not be able to return for scheduling reasons is Taylor Zakhar Perez, who played model and Joyce’s lover Shane Brody on Minx, because he is set to star as Alex Claremont-Diaz in the movie adaptation of Red, White, & Royal Blue.

When will Minx season 2 get here already?

There’s no word yet on when Minx will be back. I would assume next spring, in 2023, a year after season 1. They could go wild and drop some eps earlier… but since, as of June 2022, there haven’t been any major season 2 casting announcements or IG posts about being on set, I would say that it will be at least a year.
