BBC Breakfast aired a special programme this morning dedicated to the passing of the Queen’s husband, Prince Philip. BBC reporters spoke to viewers up and down the country who were mourning the Duke of Edinburgh’s death. One Scottish woman shared her disappointment that Philip had died before his 100th birthday later this year.

In a report discussing the Queen and Philip’s love of Scotland, BBC Breakfast gathered the reactions of those saddened by the Duke’s death.

“Absolutely gutted,” one Glaswegian woman shared. “I thought he was going to get to 100.

“I think a lot of people wished he would have got to that 100 and I’m gutted for the Queen.”
