I'm A Celebrity's Jordan North unknowingly raising thousands for hospice that cared for his uncle

I'M A Celebrity's Jordan North has unknowingly raised thousands of pounds for a hospice that cared for his uncle.

The Radio 1 presenter, 30, had fans of the ITV show in stitches when he kept trying to think of his "happy place" – Burnley FC's ground – to help him power through his first trial.

Jordan repeatedly reminded himself of Turf Moor during the Viper Vault trial, where he tried to get his hands on as many stars as he could whilst trapped in a box full of snakes alongside camp mate Shane Ritchie.

Burnley FC have decided to cash in on Jordan's "happy place" and put the money raised towards their community's food bank and Pendleside Hospice.

The hospice is extremely close to Jordan's heart and means a lot to him as they cared his sick uncle.

The football club have designed various t-shirts to buy priced at £20 each.

Sara Ward, a spokesperson for Burnley FC, told BBC Radio Lancashire: "Well, it’s put a lot of smiles on everyone’s faces!

"We’ve all been cheered up by it and we’re supporting Jordan so we’ve turned it around at the club, it’s been a great team effort and it went on sale and the demand’s been fantastic.

"Kordan North is an ambassador for Pendleside Hospice and obviously Burnley FC in the Community run the food bank.

"The pandemic has seen a massive increase in demand there so I hope it make him proud when he comes back because of course he doesn’t know any of this is happening!"

Since the first episode of I'm A Celebrity 2020, Jordan has come a long way after he vomited before the show's first task had even begun.

The star did a complete U-turn when he returned back to camp with 12 stars after completing his third trial.

He faced his ultimate fear of confined spaces all by himself and went from wimp to superhero in a matter of minutes.

The DJ was given a night off last night as the public decided to vote for Mo Farah to the Fort Locks trial, and the Olympian he managed to bag himself nine out of 12 stars.
