Linda Robson was left devastated after her precious pooch Ernie died in 2020 – and she's revealed on Loose Women she is ready to get a new dog.
The 63-year-old star's late bulldog puppy sadly had to be put down in July 2020 following the painful spinal injury.
Linda told how she now feels ready to get new dog as the panel debated whether children should be allowed to have dogs.
She explained she feels like her two young grandchildren Lila and Betsy would enjoy spending time with a dog when they come and visit her.
Linda added she hopes to choose one from renowned pet rescue centre Battersea Dog & Cats Home.
Linda said: we always had dogs since the children have been around we had dogs. We had George when Lila was born and then we had Ernie when Betsy was born so they've grown up with dogs all around them and then we lost Ernie two years ago and we haven't felt like we needed to get another dog until now.
"And now I feel like I'm ready to get another dog and also because nanny Brenda's got a dog and I haven't.
"My grandchildren prefer going to Nanny Brenda's because she's got Bailey. It's not a competition but next week I'm planning to take Lila and Betsy after school one day down to Battersea dogs home and find a nice little rescue dog or maybe two so they can keep each other company.
Linda added: "I can't wait honesty because our house has been horrible without a dog honestly."
After Ernie died Linda revealed on an episode of Loose Women that she is completely distraught over the sad death of her beloved family member
She also told how her grandchildren and her daughter were completely devastated after Ernie died.
Wiping away the tears on Loose Women, she explained: "Just over a week ago we lost our little dog Ernie.
"He was a French bulldog. We had him just over four years and not long after we got him we found out he was deaf.
"He was the loveliest little dog honestly, my grandchildren are absolutely distraught, as is my daughter, whose dog it was really.
"He was part of the family, even though he couldn't hear, when you came in the house, I don't know if it was the vibration or the smell of us or whatever, he would run down the stairs to see us.
