Love Island viewers convinced Jacques asked to go as they query unaired clip

Love Island fans predict more has gone on behind the scenes with Jacques O'Neill's exit than producers are letting on.

In a recent episode, Jacques confided in his love interest Paige to reveal that he was leaving the villa.

Soon after he left the villa and told the other remaining Islanders the news.

Though viewers at home thought there was something else going on there, after Jacques' behaviour the night before towards bombshell Adam Collard.

Fans stormed to social media to discuss the revelation, with one user saying: "They have deffo kept something that happened with Jacques unaired #loveisland."

Another added: "Everything about this is making me think Jacques was asked by the producers to leave… like they could clearly see he wasn't coping? #LoveIsland."

While a third penned: "Nahhhhh the producers defo told Jacques to leave. Cause why’s he so aggressive #LoveIsland."

"Luca said 'what he’s done' he has made the right decision… there’s defo more to this story that we don’t know about [eye-emoji]," another wrote.

one internet commentator wrote on Twitter on Tuesday night, prompting a previous Love Island champion to ask for more details.

"Explain cos I didn't hear this and I'm interested! X," Amber Gill asked the Twitter user.

To which they responded: "In the diary room bit he said what he’s done he’s made the best decision, in leaving and deciding to go [eyes emoji] wonder what he meant by 'what he’s done'."

ITV, however, deny that Jacques was asked to leave, with a spokesperson commenting: "Jacques has made the decision to leave the Villa. He will explain his reasons to the Islanders during tonight’s episode. We fully support his decision and look forward to seeing what’s next for Jacques."

It comes after 2021 star Tyler Cruickshank chatted exclusively to the Daily Star at Karaoke Box's VIP launch of its new VR technology on Tuesday night (June 28) in London.

Tyler, who coupled up with Kaz Kamwi on the 2021 series of the show, said: "You had to be careful in there. You can't do accents either.

"I was trying to use the French accent and I wasn't very good which is probably why they told me off."

Tyler is also planning on going back to his day job and making a career U-turn from the showbiz world back to the legal world of all things law.

The former Islander added: "I want to get back into law next year – I've been doing content creation and now. Law is always what I was going to do, TV stuff will always be there but I didn't go to uni to spend all that money to not pursue it I didn't go on the show to change my life."
