Lucifer fans demand season 5 as it tops binge list for fourth consecutive week

There’s even more good news for Lucifer fans as the brand new Netflix series is the most watched show for the fourth week running.

Once again Tom Ellis’s comedy drama sits pretty at the top of TV Time’s Binge Report, miles ahead of HBO’s finale season seven of Game Of Thrones and iconic sitcom Friends.

Over the past seven days the latest season of Lucifer raked in an impressive 5.89 per cent of binge sessions, with Thrones only managing to garner 2.81 per cent.

Despite Lucifer’s glaring success – and dominating the month of May – it still hasn’t been renewed for a fifth season yet and fans are getting restless.

Avid audiences around the globe have been demanding answers about whether or not they’ll be getting served more of their favoruite devil and have been directing questions to the streaming giant itself.

Writing on Twitter, one fan posted: ‘Hey @Netflix, Lucifer has been the most binged show in the world for the fourth week in a row! So…WHERE IS THE FIFTH SEASON ORDER ANNOUNCEMENT?’

Echoing a similar sentiment, another added: ‘@Netflix please give a fifth season to Lucifer!!! I watched the whole forth season in one day and I need more Lucifer in my life.’

Lucifer showrunner Chris Rafferty explained earlier this week that Netflix usually ‘waits about a month’ to see if a particular show has done well enough to warrant a renewal.

He suggested that fans should rewatch the entire last season to help boost streaming figures while we wait for official confirmation.

Lucifer season 4 is available to stream on Netflix.
