PAUL Gascoigne burst into tears as he was reunited with campmates on Italy’s version of I’m A Celebrity.
Gazza, 53, has spent the last week in hospital after dislocating a shoulder taking part in a trial.
But the England legend has been allowed back on the show, wearing a shoulder brace and with strict safety guidelines.
Gazza wiped away tears as he was met with backslaps, cheers and kisses from the other islanders — including one from former air hostess Daniela Martani, who he has grown close to.
Gazza, who wept during and after the 1990 World Cup semi-final in Italy, said: “I’ve missed you all but I haven’t missed not eating.
“I’m ready to go again and I’m OK.”
He was injured during a trial to win meatballs and spaghetti.
He had to be sedated and given oxygen before his shoulder was “popped” back into place.
Co-host Massimiliano Rosolino said: “It’s been a tough few days for Paul.
“It has been very intense for him.
"He took a knock which was a lot more serious than we initially thought.
"But no one, no one, can leave Paul Gascoigne on the bench.”
Producers on Isola dei Famous (Island of the Famous), filmed off Honduras, held talks with insurers before Gazza was allowed to return.
But Massimiliano said: “For Paul there will be no further trials and he won’t be sleeping on the floor.
"He will have a proper camp bed so as tempting as it is, hands off, it’s for Paul only.”
The Sun revealed last month how Gazza — who has battled with drink and drug demons — passed a series of tough physical and mental tests before being selected.
He could be there until the middle of next month – after having spent most of February in isolation.
He has won an army of fans with his broken Italian and practical jokes.
