PHILLIP Schofield blasted Twitter today saying he quit the app after being hounded by vile trolls.
The 60-year-old star told This Morning viewers he had wiped the site from his phone during a discussion about billionaire Elon Musk buying Twitter.
Phillip joined the app in 2009 along with co-host Holly Willoughby, with the pair gaining millions of followers.
The star, whose has not deleted his Twitter page but sent his last tweet in December, said on This Morning today: "I've deleted it off my phone.
"There is a section that is lovely.
"There is also a section that is vile and I don't want it a part of my life."

Phillip still has Instagram but has turned off comments on his photos.
The TV favourite came out as gay in Februray 2020 and moved out of the Oxfordshire home he had shared with his wife Stephanie of 27 years.
Phil recently took a trip down memory lane on Instagram as he reunited with one of his earliest co-hosts, Sarah Greene.
The This Morning presenter and Sarah, 64, fronted BBC children's show Going Live! from the late 80s to the early 90s and the pair beamed as they posed for a sweet selfie.
Sharing it on Instagram, Phillip wrote: "The best day, chats and hugs with this gorgeous human, love ya Sarah Greene 🥰🥰."
Sarah and Phillip last presented together in 2017 when she stood in for his current co-host, Holly, who was sick at the time.
