Piers Morgan wishes his dad happy 80th birthday – and fans can't believe how young he looks

PIERS Morgan fans were left gobsmacked by how young his dad Glynne looks in a throwback snap posted for his 80th birthday.

The former Good Morning Britain presenter, 56, took to Instagram to pay tribute to his old man on his special day.

The pair looked in high spirits as they enjoyed a HUGE bottle of Veuve Clicquot at an event together.

Piers rocked a black polo shirt and matching trousers, while step dad Glynne looked great in a cream coloured suit and matching panama hat.

The controversial journalist captioned the post: "Happy 80th Birthday to my Dad… a great man who taught me the two golden rules in life.

"1) Always be polite to police officers and 2) Always drink the best French wine you can afford.

"Sadly, for him, he forgot the third one…

"Never let your son grow up to be an Arsenal fan if you support Spurs."

And while many wished Glynne a happy birthday, others couldn't help but point out how amazing he looks for his age.

One wrote in the comments section: "Looks like your younger brother."

A second said: "Your dad looks incredible."

A third added: "Gosh, he looks so young!! 😊."

Another joked: "Why do you look older than your dad 😂."

A fifth commented: "Your Dad looks fabulous at 80 years!!"

Piers' biological father Eamonn Vincent O'Meara tragically died when he was one-year-old.

His mum Gabrielle then tied the knot to Glynne Pughe-Morgan, and they decided that he would take on his surname.

Speaking out about his family history at the Irish Post Awards in 2019, Piers said: "My father was Eamonn Vincent O'Meara and he died when I was just one.

"He came from Galway and he had a sister who moved to Offaly, and a lot of cousins in Dublin.

"So I feel very Irish."
