Strictly Come Dancing 2020: Who are the couples? Maisie Smith, Max George and Ranvir Singh meet their partners

Strictly Come Dancing season is upon us!

The hit BBC One show has returned to screens to add plenty of sparkle to what has been a rather drab year.

Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman will return to front the popular show, but who will they be welcoming to the dance floor?

Kelvin Fletcher, 36, lifted the glitter ball trophy last year after impressing judges and viewers with his professional partner Oti Mabuse.

A whole host of stars from Eastenders, Good Morning Britain, BBC Radio 1 and beyond will be heading to the ballroom this year.

But who are the likes of Maisie Smith, Jamie Laing, Max George and Ravir Singh partnered with? Read ahead to find out…

Caroline Quentin and Johannes Radebe

Men Behaving Badly star Caroline Quentin, 60, was whisked off to Shakespeare’s Globe in London to meet her dance partner.

She jumped for joy when it was revealed she would be teaming up with 33 year old Johannes.

Caroline admitted Johannes was the dancer she was hoping to be paired with as he is able to "flip her around the dance floor."

Clara Amfo and Aljaž Škorjanec

Radio 1 DJ Clara Amfo, 36, has been partnered with Slovenian dancer Aljaž Škorjanec.

The 30 year old joked that Clara is a better dancer than her when they met at BBC’s radio studios.

Clara was ecstatic to be paired with Aljaž, running away from him before she threw herself into his arms.

Ranvir Singh and Giovanni Pernice

Good Morning Britain’s Ranvir Singh, 43, has been partnered with Giovanni Pernice for the upcoming series.

The 30 year old seemed excited to be partnered with the breakfast show host, ready to train for the first show.

Ranvir will be under the watchful eye of her eight year old son, who is "over the moon" that she is competing.

HRVY and Janette Manrara

Pop sensation HRVY, 21, was nervous to meet his professional partner as he headed to Wembley’s SSE Arena.

Back in the first arena he ever performed in, he was surprised by 36 year old Janette Manrara.

Janette joked with host Claudia Winkleman that she was happy she had been paired with somebody "small."

Jason Bell and Luba Mushtuk

Jason Bell, 42, returned to the football pitch to meet his professional partner Luba Mushtuk.

The former NFL star was over the moon to be paired with Luba, 30, who was voted out first of last year’s competition.

Jason is excited for his six year old daughter Anaiya, who he shares with Nadine Coyle, to watch his dance as she never managed to see him on the pitch.

Jamie Laing and Karen Hauer

Jamie Laing is returning to the Strictly Come Dancing dance floor after being forced to pull out last year.

The 31 year old was announced to partake alongside Oti Mabuse last year but suffered an injury during filming of the launch show.

He is now back alongside Karen Hauer, 38, is a second attempt to take the glitter ball trophy.

Nicola Adams and Katya Jones

Nicola Adams, 37, is making Strictly Come Dancing history by becoming part of the show’s first ever same-sex couple.

She was taken to London’s Royal Albert Hall to meet her partner, who was unveiled as 31 year old Katya Jones.

Katya says she is excited to be partnered with Nicola and be part of the Strictly first.

Jacqui Smith and Anton Du Beke

Former Home Secretary Jacqui Smith, 57, has been partnered with 54 year old Anton Du Beke.

Jacqui revealed she introduced her mum to Strictly last year and is excited to now be on the show.

However, she joked that her mum will be more interested in watching Anton than her own daughter.

Maisie Smith and Gorka Márquez

EastEnders star Maisie Smith, 19, is the youngest of this year’s Strictly Come Dancing stars.

She was over the moon to find out that she would be dancing with Gorka Márquez, 30, on this year’s series.

Maisie has already had a brush with Strictly as she won the Children In Need special of the show alongside Kevin Clifton last year.

JJ Chalmers and Amy Dowden

Television presenter JJ Chalmers has been partnered with Amy Dowden, 30.

The 33 year old Invictus Games medallist says he is "delighted" to be paired with Amy, who is the current British National Champion in Latin American Dance.

JJ admitted that his friend Prince Harry thinks it’s "hilarious" that he will be taking part in the show, but is "proud" of him for competing.

Bill Bailey and Oti Mabuse

Last year’s winner Oti Mabuse, 30, has this year been partnered with 55 year old Bill Bailey.

The comedian was given a glimpse of what he can be in for as Oti returned to the floor with Kelvin Fletcher to perform a socially distanced victory dance.

He said he was "over the moon" to be partnered with Oti, asking her to "not hold back".

Max George and Dianne Buswell

Max George, 32, was the final celebrity to meet their professional partner on this year’s launch show.

The Wanted singer seemed chuffed to be paired with 31 year old Dianne Buswell.

He admitted he feels the pressure of competing after his bandmate Jay McGuinness lifted the glitter ball trophy in 2015.
