Strictly’s Saffron Barker ‘eyes SAS: Who Dares Wins stint to show she’s tough’

Saffron Barker wants to be put through her paces by TV hardman Ant Middleton.

The YouTube star, 20, is obsessed with his show SAS: Who Dares Wins.

And she is hoping she will get the chance to be a contestant on the next celebrity series of the Channel 4 hit.

A source close to her said: “It would be a dream for Saffron to get the chance.

“She has watched every series and is a big fan.

“Saffron is really hoping producers will pick her.”

SAS: Who Dares Wins is famed for being the toughest show on telly.

Recruits are given hellish tasks by instructor Ant, 40, below.

And Saffron wants to prove she has got what it takes. The show included female contestants for the first time last year.

Celebs including Helen Skelton, 37, and Nikki Sanderson, 36, proved they can be just as tough as the men.

Our source said: “Saffron is known for her sexy look.

“But she’s ready to prove there’s more to her than that.”

Saffron has seen her career skyrocket since she took part in last year’s Strictly.

Next year she will appear on the first celebrity version of Channel 4 game show The Circle.

The YouTuber's wish was revealed after hardman Ant recently opened up on his terrifying days as a young army recruitment.

The 40-year-old told of his brutal start in his hardman career, claiming he was attacked by Para troops with a sledgehammer.

The chief instructor of the show spilled all in his new book, Zero Negativity: The Power of Positive Thinking.

And thinking positively is something Ant revealed he had to get onboard quickly with due to the nature of his job.

The star goes as far to recall the terrifying tale of how he was savaged with a sledgehammer back in the day.
