The Kissing Booth 2 is coming to Netflix on July 24. When the first film premiered in 2018, its teen actors — Joey King, Jacob Elordi, and Joel Courtney — became popular movie stars overnight. Now that the sequel is on its way, many are wondering if the original cast is going to return.
The main cast will return for ‘The Kissing Booth 2’
The Kissing Booth fans can breathe a sigh of relief because the main cast is slated to return for the sequel. Joey King, Jacob Elordi, and Joel Courtney will reprise their roles as Elle, Noah, and Lee in the upcoming film.
Molly Ringwald and Morné Visser are also returning to play Noah and Lee’s parents. Meganne Young will reprise her role as Lee’s girlfriend, Rachel. Carson White will be back to portray Elle’s younger brother, Brad, and Bianca Bosch will return as Olivia.
Director and screenwriter Vince Marcello is also coming back to head the sequel. And DC Legends of Tomorrow star Maisie Richardson-Sellers and actor Taylor Zakhar Perez will join the cast as Noah and Elle’s potential new love interests.
Joey King announces the premiere date
On her Instagram page, King finally announced the news fans have been waiting for. The actress posted a promotional photo of the new movie and confirmed its summer release date.

‘The Kissing Booth 2’ will catch up with Elle as a high school senior
When fans last saw Elle, her boyfriend Noah, and her best friend Lee, they were wrapping up a pretty memorable summer. Elle and Noah secretly started dating, and once Lee was on board, they were able to make their relationship official. Lee also found his soulmate, Rachel, who he started dating at the end of the school year.
The Kissing Booth 2 picks up with the teens where the last movie left off. Noah is now attending college at Harvard, while Elle and Lee are back in high school for their senior year.
“Elle Evans just had the most romantic summer of her life with her reformed bad-boy boyfriend Noah Flynn,” the official Netflix synopsis for the film reads. “But now Noah is off to Harvard, and Elle heads back to high school for her senior year. She’ll have to juggle a long-distance relationship, getting into her dream college with her best friend Lee, and the complications brought on by a close friendship with a handsome, charismatic new classmate named Marco (Taylor Perez). When Noah grows close to a seemingly-perfect college girl (Maisie Richardson-Sellers), Elle will have to decide how much she trusts him and to whom her heart truly belongs.”
The Kissing Booth is currently available on Netflix. And The Kissing Booth 2 hits the streamer on July 24.
