Simon McCoy and Kirsty Gallacher returned to GB News on Wednesday morning to provide viewers with the biggest national and local news headlines affecting the country. And turning their attention to Nottinghamshire, Simon reported on a beekeeper who was left devastated to discover a million of his bees had been killed in a callous act of vandalism over the weekend. It’s fair to say Kirsty was horrified by the report, blasting the actions of “vandals” as “disgusting”.
“Now, you’re watching the Great British Breakfast,” Simon began. “A beekeeper is recalling this morning after one million of his bees were killed.
“Mariusz Chudy says it happened Saturday night at one of his sites in Nottinghamshire.
“Three hives were destroyed and three others were partially burned as petrol was poured all over the field.
“He’s also worried about the long-term impacts this may have on the environment,” the GB News host concluded.
Speechless, Kirsty struggled to put into words her horror after hearing the news.
“I mean, what -“ Kirsty began before saying: “It’s just unfathomable.
“It was vandals, clearly,” she continued. “Absolutely disgusting. I mean, honestly.”
Simon jumped back in: “A million bees. We’ll keep an eye on that if there are any developments.”
Pulling no punches, Kirsty made her stance clear: “I hope they catch who did it.”
And the GB News anchor wasn’t the only one disgusted by the reports.
Responding to the news, a number of GB News viewers echoed Kirsty’s disgust at the killing of so many bees.
“There are some very twisted people about. Local farmers hay harvest for winter feed was set alight 2 days ago here – all that work for nothing.,” one fan fumed on Twitter.

“Heartbreaking. Poor little bees,” said a second, while a third weighed in: “What is wrong with some people, this is just sick.”
A fourth similarly commented on the harrowing reports: “Sheer wickedness!”
“What is wrong with these people?” questioned a fifth enraged viewer.
And a sixth concurred: “Terrible. More and more people are trying to encourage bees into their gardens, I always look for the insect or bee sign, when buying seeds. Then something like this happens. Such awful cruelty and devastating for the poor bee keeper.
