SINGER and rapper Fleur East has gone from being a two-time X Factor contestant to a famous TV and radio presenter.
On Saturday, July 10, she hosted the new ITV game show The Void alongside Ashley Banjo, and is to reprise her role weekly.
What has Fleur East been doing since The X Factor?
Despite not winning The X Factor, Fleur signed with Simon Cowell's Syco label in 2015.
Shortly after she released her first album, with her lead single Sax reaching number three in the UK charts.
In the same year, she announced she was collaborating with the fashion brand Lipsy London.
By 2017, she parted ways with Syco and she has since signed with Hunter Corp Records.
In 2018, she reached the I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! semi-final.
Fleur has been presenting Hits Radio alongside James Barr and Greg Burns since July, 2019 and has also appeared on the 16th and 17th series of Ant & Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway.
As mentioned above, she is now the co-host of the brand new ITV programme, The Void.
When was Fleur East on The X Factor?
Fleur rose to fame when she was the runner-up to Ben Haenow in The X Factor final in 2014.
But this wasn't her first appearance in the show.
Fleur first auditioned for the hit talent show as part of the girl group Addictiv Ladies in 2005.
Simon Cowell mentored the group during series two of the programme but they were eliminated in week one after landing in the bottom two alongside Chico.
She returned to the hit show for the eleventh series in 2014 as a solo act.
Fleur belted out John Legend's Ordinary Person for her audition and was given three yeses.
She made it to the final of the competition where she was runner-up, losing to Ben Haenow, but was still signed by Simon Cowell's label Syco.
Is Fleur East married?
Yes! Fleur married Marcel Badiane-Robin in Morocco, with the Atlas Mountains as the backdrop.
The couple had been together for nine years before they tied the knot on June 8, 2019.
Guest at the lavish ceremony included Harry and Sandra Redknapp, Vas J Morgan and AJ Odudu.
"It was the best day of my life, filled with so much love. A dream," the singer told Hello Magazine.
"I'm just excited to call Marcel my husband. Our wedding was perfect. The weather was amazing, the skies were so clear, every single guest was invested in the day and all got on with each other."
Fleur has since spoken of "the pressure to having children" as neither she nor her husband have expressed their wish of building their own family.
"Everyone in my live is begging me to have kids. It's got to that stage", she told The Sun last March.
For now, it seems, both lovebirds are focusing on their respective careers. "Me and my husband are really driven and doing a lot with our own careers. He's into fashion and I'm doing 10,000 things at once."
When was Fleur East on I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!?
The Londoner appeared on the 2018 series of I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!
She reached the final of the ITV reality show but was tipped to the post by Harry Redknapp.
Ahead of her appearance, she said: “It’s that not knowing what you are going to have to face that I am dreading the most.
“I am scared of everything you have in there and I am scared of all the trials!"
She added: "Any trial you face there you haven’t faced in real life. I can’t imagine what it will be like."
However, she was a hit with viewers and made it all the way to the semi-finals thanks to her upbeat personality, friendship with Harry Redknapp and constant singing.
What songs has Fleur East released?
Fleur's lead single Sax from her debut album, Love, Sax and Flashbacks, reached number 3 in the UK charts.
Her track More and More came out in 2015 and she performed it at the National Television Awards in 2016.
Fleur released her comeback single Favourite Thing on January 4th.
The singer parted ways with former mentor Simon Cowell's label Syco in 2018 – which produced her no.3 hit Sax – and then signed with Hunter Corp Records.
On November 18, 2019, she released her single Size, featured in the Debenhams Christmas ad campaign. She then revealed another single titled Lucky the following January.
Her second album Fearless was also released on March 20, 2020. A few days later, in the midst of the Covid pandemic and subsequent lockdown, Fleur released a charity single titled Not Alone, with all its profits going to the Covid-19 NHS appeal.
