MATT Lucas is one of Britain's best-loved comedians and is now the new host of Great British Bake Off – replacing Sandi Toksvig.

Who is Matt Lucas?
Matt Lucas, 46, is an English comedian, screenwriter, actor and singer from London.
He studied at the The Haberdashers' Aske's Boys' School which was also attended by fellow comedians David Baddiel and Sacha Baron Cohen.
The star suffers from alopecia universalis, the most severe form of alopecia that leads to total hair loss on the scalp and body – his late father also lost his hair at a young age, when he was 13.
Matt rose to fame in the 90s as the scorekeeping baby George Dawes in the comedy panel game Shooting Stars.
Has Matt Lucas replaced Sandi Toksvig on Bake Off?
The Little Britain star is be the new host of BBC show The Great British Bake Off when it returns to our screens in the summer of 2020.
He is replacing former show presenter Sandi Toksvig, joining Noel Fielding, Prue Leith and Paul Hollywood who return for the new series.
In January 2020, Sandi disappointed fans when she revealed that she was stepping down as Noel's co-host after three years on the show.
Matt admitted that he was "chuffed to bits to be part of the most delicious show on television", adding: "I can’t wait to break bread with Noel, Prue and Paul and meet the brilliant bakers.
"And bearing in mind my love of cake, I’ve already ordered some much larger trousers in anticipation. See you in the tent!"
What has Matt Lucas starred in?
Matt is best known for his work with David Walliams on the TV show Little Britain (2003-2007) in which he played various characters including the truant and single teen mum Vicky Pollard.
With David he also starred in the sitcom Come Fly With Me which was set in an airport.
He has been in many big blockbuster films including playing both Tweedle Dum and Tweedle Dee in Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland and its sequel, Alice Through the Looking Glass.
In the US comedy Bridesmaids Matt played Rebel Wilson's flatmate Gil – the pair struck up a good friendship and went on to be housemates in real life.
Matt also played Mr Toad in a BBC adaptation of The Wind In The Willows and Nardole in the tenth series of Doctor Who, along with voicing roles in Sherlock Gnomes, Missing Link and The Queen's Corgi.

The Little Britain star was formerly in a civil partnership with Kevin McGee before splitting in 2008.
Tragically, McGee took his own life the following year.
But despite a number of rumoured lovers and even using dating apps, Lucas is currently single.
When did Matt Lucas work with David Walliams?
Matt Lucas spent a lot of time with the National Youth Theatre where he met his writing partner David Walliams in the early 90s.
The pair bonded over their love of comedy and impressions and after smaller TV parts they finally made it big in 2003 with Little Britain, with the show running until 2009.
The two comedy geniuses are responsible for some of the most iconic British sketch show characters – such as Little Britain's Daffyd Thomas aka "the only gay in the village".
They also came together to write and star in Come Fly With Me and Rock Profile.
The pair stopped working together in 2011 amid reports of tension but Matt revealed in his autobiography that cracks were beginning to appear during their 2005 Little Britain Live tour.
In his autobiography Little Me, Matt wrote that they were "often at loggerheads" and had rows over trivial matters, including what kind of chocolate to have backstage.
The pair came face to face for the first time since their professional split when they paid their respects at the funeral of TV presenter Dale Winton on May 22, 2018.
