Cops hunt knifeman after teen stabbed to death on Ilford street

Cops are hunting for a knifeman after a teen was stabbed to death in Ilford, east London.

Officers were scrambled to an address on Fullwell Avenue on Tuesday at 10.20pm following reports of a fight outside a residential building.

Officers attended and found a 19-year-old man suffering from stab injuries.

Police administered first aid prior to the arrival of the London Ambulance Service. However, the victim died at the scene.

Enquiries are ongoing to inform his next of kin.

At this early stage, there have been no arrests.

Police and the London Fire Brigade had been called around the same time to reports of a fire at a nearby set of garages.

Officers are working to establish whether the incidents are linked.

A Section 60 Order has been implemented for the entirety of the Borough of Redbridge until 6.30am.

Anyone with information, pictures or video that could assist police are asked to call 101 ref CAD 9907/19 Nov.

A Met Police spokesman said: “Police administered first aid prior to the arrival of LAS. However the victim died at the scene.

“Enquiries are ongoing to inform his next of kin.

“At this early stage there have been no arrests.”

He added that the victim was found near Own Waters House, near Claybury View.
