Hardcore porn shared by school’s Twitter account as investigation launched

A council investigation has been launched after a school shared hardcore porn on its official Twitter account.

Taylor High School in Motherwell, Scotland, retweeted the graphic images from its social media account, reportedly after being targeted by hackers.

The account was ambushed by trolls who posted hardcore images on the site showing close-ups of a bald man and dark haired woman having sex along with pictures of another naked woman, Daily Record reports.

The X-rated screen grabs triggered a host of replies from Twitter users.

One person wrote: “Taylor High Schools official twitter has had an absolute nightmare.”

While another said: “Taylor High School re tweeting porn has to be the highlight of my day ahahahahaha wtf.”

And in a nod to Twitter and Facebook's new fact checking rules, one online commenter wrote: “Taylor High School would never retweet pornographic material – official sources stated this is false and misleading.”

The school account has since been deleted entirely.

North Lanarkshire Council has launched a probe into the indecent images shared after the school profile was "compromised".

Extra security will also be added to the school social media profiles after the hack.

A North Lanarkshire Council spokesperson said: “We immediately took action as soon as we were made aware that a school social media account had been compromised and offensive material posted.

“The inappropriate material was removed and we apologise for any offence caused.

“We have taken immediate steps to investigate the security breach and will install further appropriate security measures.”
