A woman who was taking out her garbage Sunday night in Brooklyn was followed back into her building by a man who tried to rape her, but she was able to fight him off and scream for help, cops said.
The 32-year-old victim was near Myrtle and Central avenues in Bushwick around 12:15 a.m. when the man tailed her back inside, threw her to the ground and tore her shirt off, grabbing at her body repeatedly.
The creep then tried to drag her to the basement but she valiantly fought him off. When her screams attracted witnesses, the attacker fled.
Police released video of the suspect before the attack, wearing camouflage shorts, a white T-shirt, white sneakers and a blue baseball cap with a red brim. He also had a satchel wrapped around his midsection. Witnesses also took video of the man running away in which he’s not wearing the hat, a police source said.
