Paedo teacher Brittany Zamora, 28, blames 13-year-old boy she was jailed for having sex with claiming he was ‘aggressive’ and ‘obsessed’ – The Sun

A PAEDOPHILE teacher jailed for having sex with a 13-year-old pupil has blamed the boy for her conviction.

Brittany Zamora’s attorney, Belen Olmedo Guerra, branded her client’s victim “obsessive” and “very aggressive” in a statement given to reporters.

The married 28-year-old teacher began a 20-year-sentence last week after pleading guilty to sexual conduct with a minor, molestation of a child and public indecency in Goodyear, Arizona.

But astonishingly Guerra continued to defend her client heaping blame on the boy instead.

She said: “I have represented Brittany Zamora for almost 16 months and I can tell you that she is not a monster.

“Brittany is not a predator and this was not between a young child and Brittany.

“This was a teenager…She is not a danger to society.”

She added that the principle at Las Brisas academy, Timothy Dickey, had refused a request from Zamora to remove the boy from her class.

Brittany is not a predator and this was not between a young child and Brittany. This was a teenager…She is not a danger to society.

The lawyer said her client “implored Principal Dickey to move him because the teenager had boundary issues and was obsessed with Brittany.

“I’m not making that up. I learned that from Principal Dickey.”

Guerra continued saying the boy had “many, many behavioural issues” and was “very aggressive” saying: “He even was very persistent in asking Britannia about her birthmarks, moles, or anything else that could be an identifiable piece of information.

“This was before authorities were contacted.”

The predator was arrested in March last year after her victim's horrified parents found she had bombarded him with x-rated messages.

She told the child that he gets "sexier to me every day" – adding: "I want you every day with no time limit".

Zamora first began grooming the boy through her school's own educational social media app at the academy, prosecutors say.

She used a programme called Classcraft to talk to students outside of school – including her victim.

They sexually touched each other while other pupils were watching a video in class.

The teacher drove to his grandparents' house to have sex in her car while her husband was away fishing.

They swapped intimate pictures – with Zamora sending the boy naked snaps and photos of her in lingerie.

In return, the boy wrote his teacher love letters on sticky notes – including one that read: "You are sexy", cops said.

Zamora, who started at the school a year before the allegations emerged, had sex with the teen at least four times between February 1 and March 8 last year.

After one supposed tryst, the boy is said to have messaged her asking to sleep with her again.

Zamora responded: "I know baby! I want you every day with no time limit."

She added: "If I could quit my job and (have sex with) you all day long, I would."

The boy who claimed to have stood guard as Zamora molested her victim told cops: "I was one of the witnesses.

"One of the people that saw Ms Zamora and my friend…touch each other."

He added: "It’s, like weird how a 27-year-old can, like, love a 13-year-old and do stuff.

"It’s just crazy. She’s not a good person."

Some students even believed Zamora and her victim were "dating".

According to school records, a pupil told Principal Tom Dickey: "Everyone talks about them having an inappropriate relationship outside of class and at recess.

"I've heard other kids in my class say that they think they are dating."

The victim's distraught parents are suing Liberty Elementary School District claiming that school authorities did not do enough to protect their son.

They are seeking £1.9 million in damages, according to the lawsuit filed to Maricopa County Superior Court.

According to police records, the boy's father told detectives: "His childhood is already gone. He's 13.

Police bodycam footage of Zamora's arrest showed her panicking about being attacked in jail.

She said: "I'm little. They're gonna tear me apart."

Zamora's husband, who she has known since she was 16 and married in 2015, remained supportive during her arrest.

He told cops: "Brittany is an adult. She's the best, the best person I've ever known."

A previously-released police report revealed Zamora and her husband called the victim’s family – pleading with them not to take legal action.

The boy’s dad refused and swiftly hung up the phone.

It's unclear if they are still together.
