Police arrest two men after Tesco van is hijacked and taken on joyride

A hijacked Tesco van that was taken for a joyride was brought to a halt by police using a stinger device.

The PSNI said the delivery van was stolen in Newtownards, Northern Ireland, after 5pm on Friday before being taken for an impromptu tour of nearby towns.

Two men forced the driver from the van and drove it from Ards to Dundonald and then Holywood, before it ended up being stopped at a busy bypass in Belfast by police.
