A WOMAN has been found dead in the street near a London hotel after "falling from height", police have said.
Emergency services were called to Euston Road, outside The Standard hotel, at 5.26am this morning.
Metropolitan Police officers and paramedics from the London Ambulance Service attended the scene.
A crime scene was put in place while officers carried out an investigation.
The woman, whose age has not been confirmed yet, had suffered injuries consistent with a fall from height, police confirmed.
She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Euston Road, not far from Euston train station, was closed westbound between Pancras Road and Upper Woburn Place.
Traffic was reported in the area, which is one of the busiest roads in the London.
Officers reopened Euston Road around 10am, but an investigation is still continuing.
A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police said: "Police were called to Euston Road, WC1H, at 5.26am on Tuesday, December 8 following reports that a woman had suffered injuries consistent with a fall from height.
"Officers attended alongside London Ambulance Service.
"A woman was pronounced dead at the scene."
